Job Description
We’re looking for an Entry-Level Backend Developer to join our growing team and help build scalable, high-performance APIs for our fintech platform. You’ll work closely with frontend developers and product teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
- Work with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL to store and manage data efficiently.
- Implement authentication and security best practices (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
- Optimize backend performance and scalability.
- Debug, test, and document backend services.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and designers to build full-stack solutions.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and code reviews.
Requirements
- Basic proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Understanding of databases and writing simple SQL or NoSQL queries.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and API integration.
- Exposure to version control (Git/GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Personal projects or a GitHub portfolio showcasing backend development skills.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with TypeScript or Nest.js.
- Knowledge of GraphQL and API documentation tools like Swagger.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Interest in fintech and secure transaction processing.
