Job Description
Join our fintech startup as a Backend Developer to build scalable solutions for our growing customer base. You’ll design APIs, optimize databases, and collaborate with product teams to deliver secure, high-performance financial systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Django/Django REST Framework.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs for web/mobile applications.
- Optimize PostgreSQL/MySQL databases for speed and scalability.
- Implement security best practices (e.g., data encryption, authentication).
- Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system bottlenecks.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of backend development experience.
- Proficiency in Python, Django, and PostgreSQL/MySQL.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and OOP principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and Docker.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to document code and processes clearly.
- Bonus: Knowledge of fintech/payment gateways (e.g., Flutterwave, Paystack).
